Agent Bios
A real, specific paragraph about each team member — their actual experience, their specialism — not just a name and job title.
Why this matters
The customer’s side
Deciding who to trust with selling their home, people want to know the actual person they'd be dealing with — a faceless team page, or no team page at all, feels impersonal and makes the decision to trust you harder than it needs to be.
The search engine’s side
Weighted especially heavily for major financial decisions like property
E-E-A-T is explicit in Google's quality evaluation, weighted especially heavily for major financial decisions like property.
How to check yours
Method 1 — Read your own team page
the direct check — does it actually say anything.
- 1.Open your team or “about us” page.
- 2.Check if each bio says more than a name and job title.
Method 2 — Check if that expertise is backed up elsewhere
a bio claiming years of experience carries more weight when it's genuinely traceable — Google's E-E-A-T guidance specifically favours people who are identifiable outside your own site too.
- 1.Search each team member's name plus your business name.
- 2.Check whether a LinkedIn profile, professional body membership (e.g. Propertymark), or other outside mention backs up what the bio claims.
How to fix what you find
Just a name and job title
write a genuine paragraph — how long they've worked in property, what they specialise in, something real and specific rather than generic.
No outside trace of their expertise
link out to a real LinkedIn profile or relevant professional membership where one exists — this backs up the bio rather than asking Google to just take your word for it.
Keeping on top of it
A bio for someone who left two years ago does more harm than having none at all — update this whenever your team changes.
