Our giving

Not a charity. Not pretending to be.

Reyse has no profit yet, so we won’t dress it up. Here’s exactly how money reaches good causes through Reyse today, and the promise we’ve made for later.

Chapter 1

The honest bit.

We don’t donate anything ourselves. Not yet.

Reyse has no profit yet, and claiming otherwise would be exactly the dishonesty we’re built to avoid. There’s one exception, and it’s a promise with a price on it.

Chapter 2

The Charity Flip.

If we miss any guarantee, £50 goes to your chosen charity, on top of whatever that guarantee pays you.

Chapter 3

Founding Five.

Our first five clients pay us nothing. If they’d like to, they give what they’d have paid us to a charity instead.

It’s optional, never a condition of the spot. Any amount, to any registered charity, straight from them to it. £5 counts the same as £500. How the Founding Five works.

Chapter 4

Why St Helena.

A local hospice helping people in north-east Essex face incurable illness and bereavement.

20%

of its income comes from the NHS. The other 80% is raised by the local community.

Two hands gently clasped together across a wooden table, symbolising comfort and care

So local giving is what keeps it open. It’s our suggestion, not a requirement: any registered charity counts.

Chapter 5

The promise.

Once Reyse is genuinely profitable, we will commit a percentage of that profit to charity, on an ongoing basis.

No number or date yet. Written publicly, before we’ve made a penny, so you can hold us to it.

Questions

Do Founding Five members have to give to charity?

No. The Founding Five is free, full stop. Giving what you'd have paid us to a charity is an invitation, not a condition, and it never affects your spot.

Do I have to give to St Helena Hospice?

No. St Helena Hospice is our suggestion if you don't already have a charity in mind. Any registered charity is fine, and so is any amount.

Does any money go through Reyse?

Never. If you choose to give, it goes straight from you to the charity. The Charity Flip is the only money we pay to charities ourselves, and it's on top of what the guarantee pays you.

Why should I trust you'll keep the future promise?

You shouldn't have to just take our word for it. That's why it's written here, publicly, before we've made any money from it. Ask us about it again once we're profitable. We'd expect you to.
