Keeping Trustpilot And Facebook Reviews Current
Not letting Trustpilot or Facebook reviews sit abandoned just because most of your attention naturally goes to Google — both are still visible, still searchable, and still form part of the overall picture.
Why this matters
The customer’s side
A savvy buyer or landlord — particularly one doing real due diligence before a big decision — often checks more than one source deliberately, precisely to see if the picture holds up consistently. An abandoned Trustpilot profile next to an actively managed Google one reads as inconsistency, not just inattention.
The search engine’s side
Indirect — consistency across sources feeds AI trust signals
Neither platform is a direct Google ranking input the way your Google Business Profile is, but both are frequently cited or linked from elsewhere, and AI tools increasingly cross-reference review consistency across multiple sources when deciding how much to trust a business.
How to check yours
- 1
Check whether you have an active Trustpilot business profile, and when the last review reply was posted.
- 2
Check your Facebook Page reviews/recommendations tab the same way.
How to fix what you find
If either platform has a backlog of unanswered reviews
clear it the same way you would Google — oldest to newest, genuine and specific, not generic.
If you don't have a Trustpilot profile at all
consider claiming one, particularly if landlords or larger clients are likely to specifically look for third-party verification beyond Google.
Keeping on top of it
Monthly is reasonable for both — not the daily attention Google needs, but not annual neglect either.
