Making Sure Review Data Reaches AI Tools, Not Just Google

Confirming that your review score and count are actually readable by AI tools — through proper schema markup — rather than only visible to a human scrolling your Google profile.

Why this matters

The customer’s side

Someone who asks ChatGPT or a similar tool who to trust never sees your Google profile directly — the AI is working from whatever structured data it can find, or whatever it was trained on. A strong rating that never reaches that structured layer might as well not exist to that entire audience.

The search engine’s side

Direct — the technical bridge between your reviews and AI visibility

This is the same AggregateRating schema covered in depth in the GEO guide — worth a direct look if you haven't already, since it's the specific technical piece that makes your review data legible to AI tools rather than just to human visitors.

See it happen

Same listing, same search. One of these shows the rating AI tools can actually read.

How to check yours

  1. 1

Check whether your website currently has AggregateRating schema implemented — Google's Rich Results Test will confirm it either way.

How to fix what you find

If AggregateRating schema isn't currently implemented

add it, correctly attributed to a genuine third-party source — your real review score and count from Google or Trustpilot, not an invented figure.

The easiest route

Ask ChatGPT or Claude to generate AggregateRating JSON-LD schema using your real review score and count, then have your website developer add it — or see the full walkthrough in the GEO guide.

Keeping on top of it

Set once, re-check accuracy periodically

Set once when implemented, then re-check occasionally that the figures shown are still accurate as your rating changes.
